Psychotic Neighbor and Secondhand Smoke

My neighbor is psychotic and I mean that in the literal sense of the word.  I didn't notice it when I first met her last fall; a package for me was dropped off at her apartment and she seemed like a friendly person.  However, my views soon changed as the voices next door became, shall I say, creepy?  It then took another few months to realize that the sounds were not from a child, or another person, but that she was communicating with herself.  what the hell...(WOW I just heard her outside!  I went and looked out my window, and she was sitting on the table right outside my door just STARING at my place, talking with herself in a variety of voices.  Haven't felt cold chills like that in a while).
Back to the story...I have counted and witnessed at least 3 personalities.  It is a rare occurrence when I see her since she does not leave her apartment so this day has been weird.  Earlier, she was leaving her apartment, saw me and jerked, so I tried to be friendly.  Lets just say the voice that responded was not the same as the other I met.  It caught me a little off guard.

My main issue with this lady is her smoking in the apartment; due to some issues in my bathroom (a hole behind the light), the ventilation is connected with her place.  It has been incredibly frustrating to deal with, and in her state of mind, I do not feel like pissing any part of her off.
The lesson I will be taking away from today is that I need to lock my door every night.

Bad Timing?

Its about time I post in a blog I created nearly three months ago.  For those who care to delve into my life, I will give a quick overview of the glorious 24.8ish years (or maybe just the last few) that have gone by.  After spending my undergraduate years at St. Olaf College in Northfield MN, I headed south to Omaha NE, where I am currently a first year medical student at Creighton University.  I am an avid runner and raced collegiate cross country and track during my time at Olaf.  However, due to spending most of college injured from all the pavement pounding, I have switched to more cycling-oriented training and compete as a triathlete.  This will sort-of be my second year training specifically for triathlons (did a few before that, but all of my training was running).

I headed home for Easter on Thursday, leaving the 65 degree Omaha weather behind, and woke up to 6 inches of fresh snow in MN.  I was hoping to get outside and do some cycling this weekend, but it looks like Ill be stuck in the basement on the trainer.  And running is out of the question.  I messed my hip up 3 weeks ago and haven't ran in over 2 weeks (not that it is a huge cut from what I was doing anyways).  Finally got to ortho/sports med doctor and had an MRI yesterday.  They injected contrast into the capsule of my femur head, and the joint still feels incredibly bloated so biking probably won't feel too good for a few days.
Thats enough for one day.
